Insurance Options for Your Peace of Mind

At AnyQuickMove, we understand how important it is to ensure the safety and security of your belongings during transit. That’s why we offer two comprehensive types of insurance: Total Loss Insurance and Goods In Transit Insurance. Each policy is designed to provide specific coverage for different scenarios. Below, we’ve outlined the details of these options to help you make an informed decision.

Total Loss Insurance

Our Total Loss Insurance is designed to protect against the complete loss of your items in catastrophic situations, such as fire, theft, or severe water damage resulting in the total destruction of the vehicle and its contents.

Key Features:

  • Standard Coverage for Non-Commercial Clients:

    • Included with all bookings for non-commercial clients, with coverage up to €50,000.

  • Upgrade Option for Non-Commercial Clients:

    • Coverage can be increased to €100,000 for an additional charge.

  • Commercial Clients Coverage:

    • Commercial clients automatically receive coverage up to €500,000 as standard.

What’s Covered:

  • Total loss of the vehicle and its contents caused by:

    • Fire

    • Theft

    • Severe water damage

    • Other catastrophic events

What’s Not Covered:

  • Breakages or damages to individual items.

  • Loss or damage caused by customs inspections.

  • Situations not resulting in a total loss of the vehicle and its contents.

Example:

Imagine you are transporting household goods worth €30,000, and the transport vehicle is involved in a major fire that destroys its contents. In this case, our Total Loss Insurance would cover the full declared value (up to the policy’s limit), ensuring you are compensated for your loss.

Goods In Transit Insurance

For added peace of mind, we offer Goods In Transit Insurance. This policy provides comprehensive coverage for damages, breakages, and loss of individual items during transit, subject to the conditions outlined below.

Key Features:

  • Non-Commercial Clients:

    • Coverage available up to €25,000.

    • Charged at:

      • 2.5% of the total declared value for dedicated vehicles.

      • 5% of the total declared value for part-loads (due to increased risk).

  • Coverage Includes:

    • Damages to items (unless caused by incorrect packaging or wrapping).

    • Breakages (excluding damages caused during customs inspections).

    • Loss of items during transit.

Depreciation Model:

Insurance claims are subject to a depreciation model to reflect the reduced value of items over time.

For example:

  • Year 0 (Purchase Year): An item loses 50% of its value immediately after purchase.

  • Year 1: The item’s value is reduced by an additional 50%, resulting in 25% of its original value.

  • Year 2: Further depreciation reduces the value to 12.5% of the original price.

Example: If you purchase a sofa for €1,000:

  • Year 0: Its value for claims is €500.

  • Year 1: Its value is €250.

  • Year 2: Its value is €125.

What’s Not Covered:

  • Items not explicitly listed on the insurance declaration form at the time of completion.

  • Items incorrectly packaged or wrapped by the customer.

  • Damages caused during customs inspections.

Example:

If you are moving valuable glassware worth €1,000 and an item is damaged during transit, you will be compensated for the declared value of that item, subject to proper packaging and the depreciation model. However, if the glassware was not listed on the insurance declaration form, it would not be covered.

Prohibited and Restricted Items

Both insurance policies are governed by our prohibited and restricted items list. These policies do not supersede the exclusions outlined in that list. Clients are advised to review this list carefully before purchasing insurance to ensure their items are eligible for coverage.

Key Considerations When Choosing Insurance

Choose Total Loss Insurance if:

You’re seeking protection against catastrophic events where the vehicle and its contents are entirely lost.

Choose Goods In Transit Insurance if:

You want protection for individual items against damages, breakages, or loss during transit.

For Commercial Clients:

Total Loss Insurance is included as standard with a high coverage limit of €500,000.

For Non-Commercial Clients:

Carefully assess the value of your items and choose the appropriate insurance policy to meet your needs.

How to File a Claim

In the unfortunate event that you need to make a claim:

  1. Ensure the item is listed on the insurance declaration form.

  2. Provide a purchase receipt to verify the item’s original value.

  3. Understand that the claim will be subject to the depreciation model.

  4. Contact our support team with the required documentation to initiate the claims process.
